Dell Streak 2.2.2 破薑之旅 – GingerBreak
在 Dell Streak 更新上 2.2 之後，試過 z4root、SuperOneClick、Universal Androot 去進行 root 都失敗。終於等到 XDA Developer 開發了的 GingerBreak，故名思議就是特別用來取得 GingerBread (Android 2.3) 的 admin access right ，原來這工具亦適用於某些 Froyo 和 Honeycomb 機種上，於是趁機會試用在我更新好 Android 2.2.2 (Froyo) 的 Dell Streak 身上。
在 Dell Streak 上進行 GingerBreak
把資料備份後，就在 Dell Streak 安裝 GingerBreak，進行 root 時要付上耐性等待，特別是 reboot 後出現 Dell Logo 時，手機就是呆了數分鐘才有反應，等了許久才成功登入 homescreen。
Dell Streak 進行 Root 之後第一樣東西要做的：
- 安裝 Root Explorer – 刪除軟件等及更新字體用
- 安裝 AdFree – 阻止廣告減低流量
- 安裝 ScreenShot (GikSoft) – 截取 Android 畫面
- 更新 Emoji Font ( DroidSansFallback.ttf )
把原生 Dell Streak 2.2.2 裡頭無謂而煩人的軟件刪走：
- AccuWeather.com (間中系統 FC 就是這軟件問題)
- ooVoo (Streak 2.2.2 時出現的 Apps，沒有興趣使用它)
不過有一個比較奇怪的現象，就是開機時所需要的時間比較長，出現 Dell logo 前前後後的時間耐了，不過既然 root 好了，就當做是一個取捨。
想請教如何備份呢?另外root的詳細步驟能提供嗎?Thanks!!!
我的備份比較簡單，只是把 bookmarks 及 sms 備份好，好讓我更新後可以 restore，有其他 Android 用家會使用 Titanium Backup 幫助進行備份。
至於 Dell Streak Android 2.2.2 之 root，就如我文章所述，到 XDA Developer 下載 GingerBreak 軟件便可以一按即 root 。
再請教一下root完後是否所裝應用程式需再重新安裝?

@Iyc 可以 unroot，至於你刪除什麼都好，先做好備份，隨時可以恢原，這個 backup & restore 的道理跟 root 機沒什麼關係的

好似要用 custom rom ( http://streakdroid.com/ ) 先可以 overlock 佢個 kernel，我見 Streakdroid 1.5* 版本已經可以 OC 去到 1.267gHz max

我都用了streak 快九個月了, 一直都冇root機,因為小弟電腦知識不高,身邊又沒人幫,但因為見出了Rainbow six,小弟就想玩玩了, 不過不懂root…>_<

@brva 我是大膽地在 root explorer 裡頭進入 /system/app 裡把 accuweather 及 oovoo 的 *.apk 檔直接刪掉，然後重新開機，軟件就消失了
@fatdragonincp 一般真會答你 root 機有風險，但係這些 one-click-root APPS 一般都係只有「得」同埋「唔得」兩個答案，放心試下吧。
I just tried to install a app called Vodoo Control plus but failed.
Then I try to install some other apps but still cannot install.
I turn off the phone and power on again but the screen always show the Dell Logo. I am using 2.2. Please help me…….many thanks

Please teach me hoe to delete the accuweather.com? Where is it saved?
I can only find the apk in the system app folder. Please advise where are the applictaion been stored?

@fatdragonincp sounds good! I deleted the *.apk from /system/app directly, in case you can move those apk to another folder if you wanna keep a backup copy

在 Android 手機進行 root 後當然要享受這份 Admin right 的特權：
安裝 Root Explorer – 刪除軟件等及更新字體用 (至於 Root Explorer，手上的舊版本不能在 GS2 執行，記得要更新至最新版本 2.16 )
安裝 AdFree – 能夠封鎖 Android App 裡的廣告，減低 data 流量
把原本的字體更新至 Emoji Font 可以顯示 iPhone 發送過來的 Emoji 圖案( 代替原本之 DroidSansFallback.ttf )
安裝 Market Access 或 Market Enabler 方便安裝美國或日本區 Android Apps，例如安裝 Google Music
可以進行 Fast Reboot
把手機系統內的 相機快門聲 刪走，好方便靜靜地拍攝
Easy Reboot 方便修改系統參數後進行 reboot
安裝 ScreenShot (GikSoft) – 截取 Android 畫面

@skybobo using Root Explorer mount as R/W, browse to the App folder then delete the files. Be careful and don’t over-delete files there.

@Ken 具體來說，你做了什麼？在 root explorer 把有關 apk 刪掉了？
做了两个动作…1. 安装break，一键root， 2.安装root explore，进入system/app去del acc xxxx . 不过不成功
@Ken 在 root explorer 裡要開啟 mount R/W 才可以刪增系統檔案
其實,用app remover咪可刪除囉，一ｃｌｉｃｋ攪掂
